Unit F help
Hey guys, I am working on my last unit but Im having a tough time with assignment 2. I might just be over thinking it but the assignment is asking us to get creative and pick a character look with tools we already have in our kit and draw it out so we can recreate it later. After watching all the vi...

Almost Done
Im almost done with the master class. I now have friends and family that are begging me to practice on them. I want all the practice I can get but at what point do I set my foot down and start charging them a small fee. The products Ive been using aren't cheap and I don't have to funds to just keep ...

Re: Building your freelance kit!
I personally love morphe and nyx. not everything from either one is great but they are reasonably priced and for the most part have great products. Morphe is mainly online with a few stores in major cities but nyx can be found at ulta, target and even some cvs. When you place your first order with ...

Re: B4 Technique
not sure if you have already turned this assignment in but I just used my fingers to get it blended. I did however practice more blending and just used my blending crease brush to get the effect of the blended colors where they meet. I just swept a little of each color into the middle until I was ha...

Re: New Here
Oh yea, start building your own brush set. The brushes that they send are nice but I really only like about 4 of the 12 brushes. You will definitely need some liquid foundation brushes. Amazon also has mascra wands for like 2 bucks order those ASAP.

Re: New Here
you can get started right away without needing your makeup kit. I do highly recommend starting to build your own kit right away though. The first section just goes through all the basics like brush types how to clean them, skin types, how you take care of your own skin, etc... Its really easy to get...

Re: unit b your kit
thanks for sharing. I will have to try out some of those items. I also use BH cosmetics. How do clients like the drug store products? do they even notice a difference? So far I haven't had any complaints about the foundations. When I am using my models I start off asking them whether or not they wa...

Issues with models
Has anyone had issues finding models to work on. For unit 5 I am having a hard time finding a model for the assignment B7 Flawless skin. Im not sure if I can use myself as I have several burn marks on my forearm that I could conceal.

I love the way this school works. I don't feel the pressure from them to rush through each step. I do recommend getting in contact with your states cosmetic department though because I found out after enrolling that the California state laws now require an esthetician license when being paid to app...

I start with the laura Gellar matte finish primer and use Maybelline Dream velvet soft-matte hydrating foundation. I really like the way these products pair up with each other for my extremely oily skin.

Re: unit b your kit
I went to Ulta beauty and stocked up on a bunch of drug store brands for foundation, lip pencils, brow powder, primers, face wipes, brush cleaner, and eyeliners. I felt like it looked more professional to have the product rather than asking my clients to use their makeup. For the foundation I found ...

Question in Unit B
So I am starting Unit B and as I am reading about primers the text says "Do not apply primer to a client with a skin condition". Is it just referring to apply the primer with your re usable tools because wouldn't you want a primer on every client to insure the makeup staying on the skin an...

I just started Saturday morning and I am still waiting for me kit to get here. I just submitted Unit A. I think because this is something that I really want to do I was just able to complete each reading in a hurry. You have to be confident in what you do even if you aren't. Its all about how you pr...
