Re: Struggling after course

I am working in event rentals right now and I will be finishing shortly. We work with lots of caterers year round and many of them have offered me position as their coordinators when I get my certificate!

Re: Question about Business Cards

If you do that depending on where you are you will most likely have to pay tax. What I am doing, is charging very small amounts, since I am still starting. You can only get away with that for so long.

Re: Question about Business Cards

Yes, technically you aren't a registered business. When I was in beauty school they suggested we do that for all of our clients. It makes it easy for people to get in contact you. Especially if you are not charging them for services.

Re: UNIT A- A5

What I did was google event venues, caterers, etc. in my area and wrote down all of their contact information. That is basically all it is wanting you to do so that you have the start of a database when you begin planning.

Idea...

I had an idea to start a Facebook group for everyone to be on where we can share ideas about events, and give each other advice. Basically, a big support group for QC students.

Who would be interested?

Anyone from Oregon?

I signed up in March and absolutely love it! I am currently working for an event rental company but, am also wondering how other fellow Oregonians, are getting their foot in the door?
