Re: Assignment C4

I just turned in unit C and got a mark taken for not coloring the right side of the face. However, I cannot find any instructions on how they want us to do this! In my makeup practice, I use client cards that are different, but I add a small swatch of the actual product to the diagram of the face, b...

Re: building our makeup kits

In my opinion, it's all about personal preference. Price does not necesarily mean better, however, I would recommend having a few higher end options (due to pigmentation) in your kit. You want a wide range of options, for every skin type and color. Other than that, I just use what I like and it's al...

Re: Brush Kit...

There was not a technical "foundation brush" in the set that I received. However, I encourage you to experiment with different brushes. One of my fave "foundation brushes" is actually a blush/highlighter brush. I also use a fluffy blending brush (eyeshadow) for highlighter and co...

Client Card

Can someone tell me how you go about the coloring portion of your client card? I just submitted unit C and while my tutor said I did great, I forgot to color in the diagram on my client cards. I'm confused as to how to do this in the way that they are asking me to...I am currently a practicing MUA, ...

Re: Master Makeup Kit re Assignments...

I see that this was posted a while ago, but thought I'd try to answer in case someone else had the same question. I did go buy a ton of products. This was not only because of the assignments, but I was working as a freelance artist while completing the course units. And I would just buy a good selec...

Re: Models

Thanks for the tips. My mom will model for me but she is older and her makeup is very hard to do. I've posted on facebook, but I have not posted flyers...that isn't a bad idea. Thanks!!

Models

Being my own model

If you read my earlier post, you'll know that it's taken me FOREVER to do unit B. I am almost done now and am having problems finding models. I have 1 more assignment where I need a model, is it ok to do the makeup on myself to get through this last assignment so that I can move on to unit C?

Re: photos

According to the instructions, there is a certain "frame" that it asks for, but I can never get that "frame" correct, so I just get it at close as I can (and it is close up) and pray that it will be good enough :)

Seems like it's taking forever!

I am a mother of 2, plus I work full time and trying to get done with my courses just seems to be taking forever and it's so frustrating! Add to that, that I am having a horrible time finding models for the assignments, I've seriously been working on unit B for 8 months!!! Trying to find models bein...
