My QC journey

Unread post by Kahlijah »

Hi everyone

My name is Kahli and I'm from Perth, Western Australia.

I have thoroughly enjoyed every bit of my time doing the Event & Wedding course. I am 2 assignments away from completing and I find myself dragging it out because I don't want it to end!

This course has given me the knowledge and inspiration I was looking for to break into the events industry. It has confirmed that it's my passion and exactly what I should be doing.

On that note - I'm furthering my education by undertaking a nationally accredited Diploma in Events and a nationally accredited Diploma in Business. I have also started getting my personal business components together so on successful completion of my Diplomas, I can get my business straight off the ground.

If you're a student reading this, I hope you find the resources and tutor guidance every bit as educational and inspirational as I did and I wish you every success from completion of this course to the path you take after it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Please don't hesitate to reply to this post and we can swap emails if you are looking for some guidance from one student to another or if you're just looking for some motivation or inspiration.

I would be honoured to help out, whether it's based on the course material, event business or anything at all...

Kahli

So great to hear Kahli!

I enrolled last week and have just finished the first unit. I cant wait to be a fully fledged event planner!
Do you mind me asking how long has the course taken you?
What do you plan or hope to do long term with your business?

Hi Amanda, I enrolled over 2 years ago and just finishing now. When I enrolled I had the first 3 units done within a month and then I took a massive break in between. Life got so busy but I picked it back up a couple of months ago.

Please don't let that influence you - my best friend who lives in another state started the course about 2 months ago and she is just 1 assignment away from finishing so it really comes down to the individual. Everyone is different.

My plans for the future - my best friend (who is doing this course also) and I will be starting business together as she is relocating to my state in 4 months (I CAN'T WAIT!!).

We are both very determined and committed people and have similar strengths and attributes, yet we contrast each other perfectly which is great for business. (She loves weddings and private parties and I prefer corporate and entertainment events) so we will both have our own areas to manage which means no clash of strong personalities and more to offer from our business! (lol)

As I said, everyone is different but I can say that this course is very exciting and fun, you will enjoy every bit of it.
It's perfect because it covers so many areas of the event industry, by the time you get to the last unit, you will know exactly what direction you'll want to go.

All the best with everything! If there's anything you'd like to know about anything at all, feel free to contact me! kahlijah23@gmail.com
