You have to measure the cupboards etc so you have those and can convert to the 1/4 scale and use that to draw the elevation.
Hope that helps. Lesley

On the elevation rough sketch, do there need to be measurements like on the floor plan rough sketch? It doesn't show them on the assignment or in the text. But then when making the real elevation plan, I would then measure everything and then draw them in 1/4 scale correct? Any help would be appreciated!

Hi,
Measure kitchen cupboard using regular tape. Let's imagine the cupboard height is 5'6" and width is 3'6". Now, draw that dimension using 1/4" scale. For 1/4" scale. 1' of real life is drawn as 1/4" on paper. So, on paper your cupboard will become 5.5" high and 3.5" wide. Yes, you are right, just like floor plan the rough sketch of the elevation drawing should show the measurements. I hope this helps and I didn't confuse you even more.

Hi guys ! My walls are only 8'-9'' long so when I draw my elevation drawing on a 1/4 inch scale it comes out really small on the page.. Am I not doing something right ? Or is this normal .. Thanks :)
