Help with Unit B Blending!!

Unread postby SDufrene » March 21st, 2012, 3:41 pm

Hi I am new and just submitted Unit A. I am working on Unit B and having trouble getting good pictures for the blending part. I think the eye colors are ok but the blush is not coming out good at all. Any suggestions would really help :)
Thanks SD

im not sure exactly how you mean but maybe try using a different brush to apply the blush or possibly a different color if its clashing or different product if you arent happy with quality and application of the product.
hope this helps :D

Hi I'm recently working on unit B and I'm a little confused on the blending part. In the booklet it says it has an example in the resource CD but its not showing up. Any examples or help on how I'm suppose to do this assignment would be great! :D

Thanks!

I'm not sure if your questions have been answered yet, but as for the blending, I used the backside of my arm. I used a little moisturizer on it first and then proceeded to start applying the blushes and eyeshadows. Make your stripe down the arm, about 4 inches should suffice. As you know, when applying your makeup you get the heaviest concentration of product on the first swipe of the eye or cheek so as you "paint" a longer line the makeup starts to fade down. Once you get your line, pick a spot near the beginning of the darkest spot and start blending. Keep doing this until your blush has almost disappeared down nothing. Your finished product should be dark going into a medium color fading into almost nothing down a line. As for what it is supposed to look like -- go to your resource CD and under PHOTO ASSIGNMENTS Unit B will be there. Open the file in word and you'll see what they are talking about.

I don't have the actual resource CD because I transferred this course from my daughter to myself and at the moment she can't find the CD, so I don't have any pics to go by for this blending assignment. does anyone have any pics that I could look at or send to me? I feel like im in the dark on this. lol..thank you!

Hey I am also having trouble with the Unit B blending assignment. For me no mater how many layers i put on the back of my arm it barely shows up on my camera. It also kinda looks like someone just slapped my arm too hard haha. Are there any suggestions to help me make the blush stand out more? Thanks

Hi Dawnya,

If you go into your Resource CD, go into 'Assignment Photos,' select 'Unit B,' and finally select 'Assignment B4' you will see two color gradient photos that show you what your blush and eyeshadow applications should look similar to. These are the examples referred to in the booklet.

If you still have questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with the school. :)

Warm Wishes,

Jaime
