Hey Guys,
Im new to Qc, I started this week and im almost finished unit A
Is there anybody else from NSW ?
Or people that started with no makeup experience at all?
Im up to A4 and ive never done makeup before so it could be interesting, Lol
cool!
yes assignment A3 was tricky, I just googled best eyeshadow etc brands/products.
Do you have previous makeup experience?
I dont so A4 will need a bit of practice
Hi
im from sunny coast QLD! just started yesterday and already finished unit A - up to starting assignments in unit B but need to wait until my kit arrives or I go shopping to complete - no make up experience except that I wear it most days and love it !
Has anyone started shopping for their kits?
im still struggling getting my head around how to pick peoples undertones! any tips?
Hey !
I don't even wear makeup so I actually don't own any either, so I've been shopping a bit
I'm sorry but I have no idea
Do you learn that in unit B ? I haven't started it yet cause I'm waiting on my kit to finish unit A......
HI!
I'm from Dubbo NSW. I'm new to the course, enrolled just the other day I haven't had the chance to sit down and start any assignments yet but quite excited to get started
Wow you're so close to me !
Less than an hour
So cool to see other Australians doing the course!
I just received my grade for my first unit Good luck on your assignments !
Awesome ! I just finished my eyeliner application assigment ( B4 )
Did the tape not work for you ?
Keep practicing, you'll get there, it took me a while and i found it very difficult, but i got there in the end.
Good luck !
The tape definitely helped, thank you for that! I might look at using a pink eyeshadow instead of blush and see if that helps with more pigmentation.... or practice on my boyfriends arm, maybe his skin tone is better
I found using tape helped control the area I wanted to do the blending of the blush (same as for the eyeshadow blending); so it didn't look so 'smudged' out on the outside area and I used a small blending brush to control the amount of blush that I put down. I also found that doing bit by bit helped with the gradient effect instead of doing a lot at once than blending it out. You can use yourself as a model for your assignments but they do recommend that if your planning on pursuing a career in becoming a pro makeup artist to work on friends/family to get used to working on clients because they have different undertones, eye shapes etc..
GOOD LUCK!!
Hi! I’m from VIC! I’m really struggling with trying to understand different skin tones and how I go about finding the right foundations to mix and match to get the right shade to match to model. But can’t start buying foundations if I can’t read skin tones
