Looking for industry data

Hi everyone!
This question concerns graduates, industry professionals and advisors. I am working on my business plan and I wold like some advice on where to find competent data for market analysis and other research I would need to do to support my thesis. Just to give you an idea of which direction to point me in, I am a tea party planner in Montreal. Where should I look to get good information?
